Trellist Ventures Executive Lori Palmer participated in the closing plenary panel of the 2014 Inspiring Women in STEM Conference: “Communicating to be Heard: Mind the Message.” Lori and leaders from NASA, DuPont and the University of Delaware provided empowering information about improving communication in the workplace and shared their strategies for effective leadership.
Nearly 300 attendees from 70 organizations took part in featured presentations, workshops, panel discussions and audience exercises on a variety of issues facing women in the workplace, including dealing with change, planning career moves, strategic networking, and improving effectiveness. The Inspiring Women in STEM Conference aims to encourage, support and inspire women in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields. It was presented by the Delaware BioScience Association, the Delaware Sustainable Chemistry Alliance and the Technology Forum of Delaware. Trellist was a sponsoring organization.
