Associate Creative Director of Copy (ACD)

This superstar player will lead all copy initiatives across our client roster which includes Fortune 500 financial services, chemicals, technology, and healthcare companies. This role requires frequent client interaction, with some travel for on-site presentations and workshops. Candidates must be able to present a strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of multi-channel campaigns and advertising materials.

Key Responsibilities

Understands client challenges and industry trends, participates in new business opportunities, drives the strategic direction of creative initiatives, and leads project teams that can conceptualize, produce, write, and deliver engaging creative solutions

Explores and creates innovative ideas appropriate to a client’s brand and business strategy

Keeps current with trends in advertising, branding, design, and digital technologies and new media

Demonstrates a level of creative sophistication that exceeds industry standards

Provides strong leadership and guidance to creative teams to develop innovative creative work

Contributes strong narratives and effective copy for multi-channel campaigns and advertising materials

Reviews all agency materials and incorporates feedback, comments, and changes

Presents work and provides rationale in internal creative reviews or meetings

Presents creative deliverables to clients with passion and relays feedback to teams

Ensures adherence to project timelines, scopes, and budgets

Fosters and develops collaboration among internal teams and individuals to ensure innovative 

and collaborative solutions to client needs

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Advertising, Marketing, Journalism, PR, or similar
  • 7+ years of professional copywriting experience in a related field
  • 5+ years of agency experience (external or in-house)
  • Experience supervising teams of copywriters/designers
  • Financial copywriting and creative direction experience a plus
  • Candidates will be required to submit an online portfolio of best work
