Trellist Marketing and Technology recently designed and developed a responsive ecommerce website for a national high-end fashion swimwear and accessories retailer. Previously, the retailer was required to perform separate content updates for both their desktop and mobile websites. Moving to a responsive platform would eliminate the need to maintain both sites separately and also allow for design updates to be made to streamline the customer experience and, in turn, increase revenue.
The new interface increases the speed at which shoppers can choose and control product selection. Features like a responsive fly-out menu and search filter, color swatches, second-image hover and a quick-view button make for a more pleasing shopping experience and enable customers to reach their cart faster. Customers also receive suggestions based on their activity, which are designed to cross sell and upsell. The buyer’s path from site entry to order confirmation is now simple, intuitive and aesthetically pleasing.
