December 17, 2009, Wilmington, Del. –Trellist® Marketing | Technology announced several new initiatives to further their growth in 2010 and beyond. The initiatives include the launching of a new ventures division, more robust support for small businesses, and the development of a strategic partnerships team. Each of these efforts, as with all of Trellist’s services and business activities, can work independently or be integrated in order to best deliver client solutions.
Trellist Ventures was formed effective December 10. Beginning as an internal corporate division with the goal of spinning out as an independent entity, Trellist Ventures will leverage business opportunities for novel applications, platforms and products to be sold both in conjunction with and independently of Trellist’s own IT and agency services. Leadership of this new entity will be announced in January.
"Trellist believes very strongly in the Delaware Valley’s contribution to national growth," noted Managing Partner David Atadan. "We are ‘betting’ on the synergies that true innovation creates, in a state where public/private sector partnerships have been very robust and regional funding sources have stepped up to help continue our region’s leadership in technology, green jobs and marketing."
Complementing Trellist Ventures, a new internal dedicated team to serve the unique needs of small and emerging businesses will be chartered December 28, 2009, with leadership to be announced in January. This division will partner with and leverage other divisions of Trellist as appropriate.
Capitalizing on the momentum of new and growing partnerships, Trellist’s new strategic partnerships team will foster further cross-industry cooperation in order to harness participants’ unique capabilities to better serve clients.
In related news, the University of Delaware has named Atadan to the Advisory Board for its new Entrepreneurial Mentorship Program. This program will be formally announced April 23, 2010 at the University’s Third Annual President’s Forum for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
Atadan also continues to help foster Delaware entrepreneurship as a Board member of the Technology Forum of Delaware, Advisory Board member of First State Innovation, and Advisory Board member for the Delaware Economic Development Office’s Emerging Technology Center. Trellist is a corporate sponsor and faculty member of GoodCompany Ventures, a new business incubator in Philadelphia’s Navy Yard.
